Leif Neilson and Laura Josephson are our two Lifeguards currently on the California Exchange. They are five weeks through the six week exchange and have so far been to Los Angeles, Newport, Morro Bay, Santa Cruz, Seal beach and are currently at Del Mar. Their next stop is Laguna beach and then Huntington beach for the US surfing open.

The best surf lifeguards, who patrol from Raglan to the Far North, have been honoured for their hard work and dedication to saving lives at the Toyota Financial Services 2013 Surf Life Saving Northern Region Awards of Excellence on Saturday night. The celebration of surf lifesaving, with special guest speaker, former Warriors captain Steve Price, took place at Eden Park and was attended by around 350 people.
