Assistant Senior Beach Coach | Orewa Surf Life Saving Club

Part-Time Position | 15 – 20 hours per week (seasonal variations to be discussed)

Join our coaching team and help develop the Senior Beach program at OSLSC!

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on a shared weekly training schedule (ocean, pool & land-based) with our senior coach.
  • Demonstrate passion for surf lifesaving, youth development, and building confident, capable athletes.
  • Create a fun, inclusive, and rewarding environment for athletes of all ages and abilities.
  • Provide technical coaching in beach sprints, beach flags, ski, board, and swim, both at the beach and in the pool.
  • Lead and support inclusive training sessions, adapting to different intensities, abilities and conditions.
  • Foster strong relationships with athletes to support their growth in sport and as individuals.

This role offers a development pathway toward a potential Head Coach position. You’ll be part of a club with:

The club is looking for someone passionate about developing young athletes in surf sports and competition, helping them reach their full potential in an alreafy successful program.
